Argonaut and Redeye’s logos.

Homecomings and goings

Our story is one you may be unfamiliar with, but might resonate with you nonetheless. It's a story of setting out to make your own path, but finding that the journey does not always move in a straight line. Sometimes in life, to move forward you must first go back. In our case, we went back home.

Argonaut Coffee was founded in 2019 by a former RedEye barista. Its name came from the Greek legend of Jason and the Argonauts, the heroes that set sail on the legendary Argo. Six years later, that same barista would return and acquire RedEye Coffee. And although the original Argonaut logo was based on that mythic ship, the acquisition of RedEye has changed our story.

We may not know what the future holds, but it is clear Argonaut Coffee is no longer simply Argonaut, just as RedEye Coffee is no longer simply RedEye. Argonaut is now more than just a ship, and while RedEye is the foundation that Argonaut was built on, it's also so much more. The two companies have become something different, something new, and we think...something better
